Bali Island Tour

Three, Four and Five Day "Drive, Explore and Stay" Bali Tours

(longer if you require and we can design tours to suit your requirements and make your stay in Bali cheaper and more enjoyable).

"My family and I have just spent the best 3 days of our trip travelling around Bali with Subur (our guide) and Made (driver). I never realised Bali was so beautiful and so diverse. We had a remarkable trip and learnt so much about the Balinese people and their beliefs. Everything was top notch…highlights, there were too many, but soaking in the hot springs with some of the locals, being invited to a wedding and snorkelling on a brilliant coral reef teeming with fish were hard to beat. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone. They are right when they say they will show you the real Bali"..…Pamela Schroeder.

We offer a variety of Three, Four and Five Day (longer if required) “Drive, Explore and Stay” Tours designed to show our guests the amazing diversity of this spectacular island. Incorporating a number of inclusive and optional activities, that makes our tours special and unique, we will show you the Bali you want to see: whether it be stunning rice paddy scenery, active volcanoes and crater lakes, South East Asian rainforest (jungle) and mountain lakes, coffee, clove and fruit plantations, traditional, mountain and fishing villages, stunning temple complexes or chanced upon ceremonies, hot mineral springs and cold mountain waterfalls, beautiful coral reefs and sunken World War 2 wrecks or quiet, relaxing coconut fringed beaches on the unspoiled North and East coasts of Bali.

Our experienced drivers will safely transport you around the island and we don’t just use the main tourist routes, but use alternative and attractive roads that show the Bali of your dreams and ensure your holiday becomes something special. A photographer’s paradise we always stop for the best scenery and stop to meet the people going about their daily chores. Our guides accompanying you the whole trip will be able to answer all your questions and explain all aspects of their fascinating culture, as well as ensuring your trip is a safe and enjoyable one.

Three Day Tour: We start our tour from either the resorts down south Kuta, Legian, Sanur, Seminyak, Nusa Dua or Ubud.

Day 1

Incorporates a short visit to the Mengwi Water Temple where you get to see the inner sanctum of a major temple close up. We then drive up past remarkable scenery to the region of Bedugal and its three stunning mountain lakes. Monkeys play in the heavily wooded areas on the side of the road. We stop to feed them before continuing onto the stunning surrounds of Lake Tamblingan where we trek through virgin rainforest (see Jungle Trek info). (There are alternatives to doing the jungle trek for those not interested).

After the trek we return for an Indonesian buffet lunch overlooking Lake Beratan before continuing on the most stunning road in Bali. We drive through coffee and clove plantations and beautiful rice paddy panoramas (stopping on the way for photos and to explore the local area) before arriving at a relaxing mineral hot springs complex for an afternoon soak. We arrive in our hotels on the black sand of the North Coast (Lovina area) for a spectacular sunset. After a welcome drink, rest and shower we drive into central Lovina for dinner before retiring. You have a choice of dinner options (great restaurants) and we know where to go if you really want to try the local cuisine.

Day 2

It’s an early rising as we depart in local outrigger canoes (quite safe and life jackets provided if requested) for dolphin watching (the scenery is remarkable from the boats in the morning). After breakfast we depart for the journey along the north coast, stopping on the way for a trek through small villages and lightly forested areas to see an non tourist waterfall. We continue along the north coast road (offering great views of the active volcano and holy mountain, Mt. Agung) onto the village of Tulamben for lunch and later we snorkel (optional dive) on the wreck of the US Liberty, a US navy ship sunk during World War 2. The wreck is rather close to shore and life vests are available for guests if need be. The marine life here is amazing at times with large schools of fish swimming around this large, safe and interesting wreck. We continue on driving through some extremely photogenic country to the stunning water palace of Tirtagangga (where have a swim in the cool spring fed swimming pool and explore the water palace) before arriving at the stunning coastal and yet underdeveloped resort of Amed. We spend the night at Amed and dine at one of the local restaurants.

Day 3

After breakfast we drive along this stunning high cliff coast (ocean views are amazing) to the site of a wrecked Japanese PT boat where we snorkel on the beautiful coral reefs close to the wreck. This wreck is also situated close to the shore in relatively shallow water. After snorkeling and a cup of tea/coffee we drive along the coast, through timeless villages affording amazing views of the ocean before arriving at secret white sand beach where we lunch, laze and swim before continuing onto the traditional, photogenic and unusually walled Bali Aga village of Tenganan. The beliefs of the villagers here differ from those of the Balinese and you can see villagers weaving the traditional Gringsing warp and weft scarves they are famous for, as well as lontar palm writings. We finish our tour with a visit to the holy Bat temple (Goa Lawah) where you can view the bats and cave and make an offering and prayer in this major temple before returning you to your hotel.

The other option is on the third day to continue on from the holy Bat Cave Temple to the stunning beauty of Penelokan (Kintamani) spending the night on the edge of the large caldera overlooking the active volcano, Mt.
